I work with a group of phenomenal people at Falcon Artistry Specialty Tattoo in Vancouver, BC. My background in support work directly informs the experience I aim to provide for each client. I believe in meeting each person where they are in their stories, and truly value my time with each client. The custom design process makes this part very meaningful (and a lot more interesting!)
I hold no assumptions or judgment about the who, what, why, or where of tattoo culture. My ultimate goal is to provide a safe space for the tattoo experience. I don’t take the privilege of decorating your skin lightly. I try my best to have a trauma-informed, body-neutral approach, and I really believe you don't have to love the skin you're in or even be thinking about that kind of thing to have a positive tattoo experience. If you want a tattoo, get a tattoo!
I feel privileged to have the chance to explore my roots through sacred geometry/Islamic art, but my favourite stuff to tattoo are botanical, landscape, and other nature-themed designs. Lately delving into more animal and human faces as well. Every now and then I love doing a bold traditional style tattoo. I work mostly in black but am getting into colour this past year. I started tattooing in March 2017 and apprenticed under Katia Somerville of Rainfire Tattoo in Vancouver. I also spent a year shadowing Michelle Warawa in paradise on Earth (Gibsons, BC) and learned a lot from her phenomenal work in realism. If you’re not sure if your idea is a style I enjoy doing, just ask :)
